I highly recommend Prarie Rehabilitation on Cliff Avenue for anyone recovering from knee replacement surgery. I actually looked forward to my therapy appointments even though they were often painful and challenging. I would never have pushed myself like that! I am so thankful for the professionalism of the staff from the front desk to the physical therapists. Jeff Steinberger, my PT along with Michelle, you were amazing and so supportive. I will miss our conversations and Jeff’s crazy humor. They were often what got me through those tough therapy days when I wanted to give up and or be satisfied with an 85 degree knee bend. I first came to Prairie Rehabilitation for physical therapy in my recovery from a car-pedestrian accident. My physical therapist went to the trenches with me and was largely instrumental in my recovery. Since then I have benefited greatly from both physical therapy and occupational therapy. Whenever I have a friend needing therapy, I recommend Prairie Rehab with no hesitation. Their caring attention make a difference!

I went from being a highly functioning individual to being bedridden, all from a terrific neck injury and issue. I simply could not function or perform everyday activities that most of us take for granted. I sought help from two other institutions but not until I went to Prairie did I get all the help I needed. My therapist was extremely patient and knowledgeable as are all of them. They are a brilliant combination of old and new school which, when combined with incredible creativity and genius, becomes a healing force. Their approach is not a “one size fits all” as they treat the whole person. Early on, one touch to my neck would send me over the edge and my recovery demanded lots of patience, encouragement, and hard work. We were co-creators in my recovery which has taken a long time. I am now a highly functioning human being again, humble and grateful to have these people be a part of my life. Everything I am able to do today is because of them. Their educated staff has extensive knowledge and experience in physical, speech, occupational and hand therapy. They stay up-to-date with all the latest news and techniques to better improve their ability to match every patients needs. The staff always took the time to listen to any new information I had about my injury and applied new techniques to my plan for recovery. At Prairie Rehabilitation they truly care about each patient and giving them the best care possible. It is my opionion that Prairie Rehabilitation is the best physical therapy company in the tri-state region.
